Re: arp headstuds (seanclark)
which one is it.
i think the top right corner does sit higher if you hand tighten them.
pre-torque them to 15lbs and they should all be the same.

yeh was one of the corner ones, and i did hand tighten them, its ok then if thats meant to happen, when i actually torqued them all up as per arp guides they seemed to sit level

Re: arp headstuds (seanclark)
if i remember correctly on the y8 the top left one sits higher... so i would imagine the z6 would have 1 sit higher as well... you can look at the head and tell it should be a lil taller where that one is..... hope that helps

Re: arp headstuds (platinum00)
Why must this dead horse be beaten so unmercilessly every other week?
1. On a z6, the top left corner stud sticks up higher when properly installed (hand tight).
2. On a y8, the bottom left corner stud sits lower when properly installed (hand tight).
Whether you have a z6 or a y8, the studs should NEVER be flush with each other. If they are, you must have ignored ARP's directions about HAND-TIGHTENING them.
It's not brain surgery - look at the bolt surfaces on the head and you'll understand. Or, just drop the head down onto the studs and watch as the high/low stud magically becomes the perfect length.
