Default ARP head studs for B16

I tried to do a search and cant find anything on this subject. I read awhile back someone was using B18 ARP head studs and they work fine. Only problem is there a little longer just need some washers right?

If this is the case what washer size do I need?
How many washers do I need?

you use gsr studs and they always come with washers otherwise the nuts would tear up the head.

My studs from ARP specifically stated that they were for a b16.

all v-tec b series are the same part # arp 208-4303. that 1/8 inch wont make any difference. its a stud not a bolt. the both sink in the block and come up thru the head.

Thanx for all the help guys. One more question. I was looking at the ARP web-site and was reading there Tech Tips : Head Stud Installation. It said to torque each stud nut three times to recomended values found in the general fasterner chart.
http://www.arp-bolts.com/pages/produ...s/how_tos.html

Is this safe to turque it that much or should I torque it to manufacturers spec?

they don't mean torque it to 3 x (torque) value. they mean go through the sequence 3 times.
