I tried searching, but came up with a variety of answers.

When installing the studs, do I
use a stud installer?
hand tight?
or do i try the backwards nut underneath a nut, and torque it down like that?

Hand tighten studs into the block. Dont handtighten the nuts on

so just hand tightening will do it?

 

Double nut them! Hand tight doesn't work well (even thought it says it in instructions).

Hand tight - all the studs were at different heights, even with the moly lub provided.

Double nut - put one nut on one flare side up, then another nut flare side down, and tighten them against each other. use a use a wrench to seat them down all the way. Not real tight, but so they are seated all the way down.

sems to be working just fine in my car....

 

I double nut them to 14ft lbs...then torqued the head down to 70ft lbs
