the 14b is a GREAT turbo. This turbo pulls like a mother fckr...its a good size where it pulls down low and all the way to like 6500

i had one and liked it on my y8. it was broken though, cracked turbine housing. i have a t25 on it right now and it is QUITE fun! although i did have to turn the boost up a couple psi to make it feel like the 14b

I am confused. Did you put it on now, so you don't need te map. whatever.

Go look in mpfi.org, homemadeturbo.com, ect.

They all have .bin depositories that will help you out a little.

naaa. i just bought one from the junkyard. got it all serviced with high pressure petrol. the turbo makes a very little grinding sound if u spin the wheel with ure fingers. the wheel spins veryyy free and dere are no signs of the fins rubbing against the housing.

ill be puttin this turbo on a z6 in a 95 civic. prob next week (vacations )

just wanted to know if this turbo pulls hard till the 7500 redline and that if the k26 is a better turbo than the 14b

bin files i meant uberdata files... nyone running this setup might wanna help me by givin his file so i can start from there as a base

adios

took my crank and the rods to the machinin guy and he meaured everythin up and advised me to put new pieces - standard size... they fit perfect
well the turbo project is delayed cuz of budget issues n on top ive got exams for my final term as well ....

Pics of the install of a 16g, same thing as a 14b, just a little bigger internally.

my 14B turbo will hold the PSI steady all the way to 7500

if it fluctuates is has been proven to be 0.25psi, and its due to the internal wastegate

14b's are good.

Just remember this,
they come off dsm's , the OLDER ones,
so your average turbo eclipse or talon you see running around
actually has a t25, those guys run close to 20lbs on easy often.

and guess what, they uset the 14b turbo as an UPRGRADE over the stocker t25.

so yeah, the boost levels any stock block honda is going to run will be no problem for the 14b. And it'll still spool pretty darned quick.

thanks guys.. well got over rebuildin my engine cranked da bitch n it sounds great... got the manifold made from a local exhaust shop in town. LOL.. CHEAPPPPPPPPP AS DIRT... 12 buks . LOL..

will be puttin da 14b on tomorrow.. yeyyyyyyyy

one question i have now.. ive seen pictures of the 14b install and the charge pipe and the air filter seems to be on the A/c Compressor side(drivers side). that way the wastegate falls at the back side towards the engine block and is kinda unaccessible.
cant u just install it the other way round to make the air filter and the charge pipe coming out from the passenger side of the car. (i-e where the tranny is) ???
i mean that makes more sense to me.. OPINIONS ... PLZ[/IMG][IMG][/IMG]
