Default Is anyone using the hp racing manifold.

It seems for the price that this manifold is unbeatable. Even includes a fuel rail. I dont even know hwo HP can afford CNC everything and still make money off it.

i am not trying to get one i allready have plenty of manifold from JG to STR just lkooking into seeing why no one is using this one while it looks to be beneficial. Looks almost like a STR. Good welds and everythign seems okay.

I know Jason (blown90hatch) can get these manifolds. I was thinking of getting one for my GSR.

I have one on my car...TurboEG6 has one on his car. We have sold like 4 of them in that last month or so. They are really nice and nice fuel rail too.

Hmm, if they come with a rail then I guess I am going to be forced to get one What size inlet hole is tapped in the fuel rail?

Here is the pics of it. I have never really seen one in action compared ot the other manifolds. IT looks exactly like a STR/VENOM copy.

Who's selling it at what price? I'm guessing there's no H22a version? We always get screwed.

has anyone come up with a good way to attach the throttle cable linkage to something on the manifold? I had to weld the stock bracket to the back of my Venom manifold.

Just use the bracket off a GSR throttle body and works fine. The prices are around 450-500. I have some pics on a GSR, but I will load them tonight. The currently make the B18C1 kit, but the H22a, B18a should be out this month. Cant get a definate from my guy on the B16a and B18c5.

Dirtylude, my roommate is selling one of the first 3 H22a intake mani's made by STR. It's got the holes for the 4 port nozzles for gas already in it, hidden on the underside of those HUGE intake tubes, and it was only used for about 1500 miles.

He's selling it pretty damn cheap too... In total, with the throttle linkage adapter he paid about 1400 for it and waited FOREVER to have it made. It's the finish with the carbon fiber on the top of it, and it's in really good shape, nothing a little polishing wouldn't take off with a quickness.

Email me if you want to know more, I'll ask him. jdmcivic@hotmail.com

Hey B18B Turbo...Have you ever dyno tested intake manifolds? I'm approaching 500 whp with my drag race only B18C. I'm still using the stock GSR manifold (with butterflys removed). I can't believe that a square plenum chamber can work better than a round chamber (like the old JG's). Also it seems that the smooth flow of a Skunk2 should work better (especially the torque curve) than a plenum manifold or a GSR. Some say that STR's might add to the top hp number, but actually slow the car down by killing some torque. What's your take on manifolds?
Congrats on the 9's!

the best manifold is a tubular canister with a rounded end cap. Even JGs are not perfect. there new design is little better though. The guys at AEBS make a custom one which is pretty awesome.

Skunk 2 is great but doesnt out flow a STR
STR/VENOM same design pretty much is great but doesnt out flow a JG

JG makes approx 20 hp and 15lbs more torque more than a STR out of the box.
Skunk 2 makes approx 40-50 hp less than both of them but has drastice decrease in torque it make approx 40lbs less at he same boost level. I ve tested almost all thats on the marked so far and the best bang for the buck is cut your stock flange and make your own custom tubular one. cost approx 300 bucks in good parts.

Thanks B18B Turbo...Just got off the dyno today with a combo I thought would bring me the 500 whp. Only got 441.9 whp and 364.0 torque. I'm thinking that the GSR intake manifold is giving me decent torque for that whp but holding me back on total whp. Also still using a T3/T4. Turbonetics can make a T3 hogged out to fit the T4 internals in the exh side. I don't know if this will work as good as straight T4. Any thoughts? This isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Any pix of your custom manifold?

A little over 20 lbs. It's time for a guage that reads higher.
