anyone using a clutch stop?
Purchased a competition clutch and will be making a clutch stop. How do I go about setting the appropriate height of the stop and is this a necessity.

i welded about 3 nuts to my clutch pedal with a carriage bolt going through it for my clutch stop...its pretty damn diesel lol....anyways ...to adjust it..i would find the point where your clutch fully is disengaged and you can shift smoothly with the transmission. Youll find your "sweet spot"

Re: (I Have an STD)
with certian clutches if you dont make a pedal stop under the clutch pedal...the clutch will be over depressed to the point where the fingers on the pressure plate hit the center of the disc and make a horrible noise and expletive up the disc and plate....its usually just a bolt with some nut drill throught the floor or welded to the bottom of the pedal

i have installed a handful of the competition twin plate setups and have yet to install a clutch stop. everyone that i have installed has released about a .5" off the floor when hot.
