Default anyone having problems with rev valve train?

Has anyone seen problems with rev valve train? I ran their stuff and the springs were way to stiff and caused alot of cam lobe and rocker arm wear even with oem R cams. also the valves mushroomed out at the small end. which seems to be a common problem with rev. anyone else seen this?

What spring pressure were the springs?I remember reading two posts a long time ago regarding spring pressure .I think they were both from one of the guys at Rocket motorsports.

No, I ran the same set-up for a customer. Zero problems.

Cam wear from spring pressure is not the valvetrain manufacturers fault. You need a lot of spring pressure for high rpm and the honda rocker arms are too soft. Good oil is the most important thing to stop rocker/cam wear.

The valve problem is a problem.

Thanks for the info and what do you think would cause the valves to mushroom?

ran rev stuff last year, switched to maz cams, and had float. thought it was the springs, turns out the dude that did the head, installed the guides too shallow and was binding on the stem seals.

but with the gsr cams, 9800-10k no problems.

actually seated is 33.5mm and the machine shop said it was over 100 lbs which to me is to high.

what alot of people dont know is rev has 2 different valve springs and the stiffer ones are for cams only up to 11mm lift and your not supposed to run the factory spring locators since they have a stepped inner spring that makes them coil bind .

R cams are 11.5 mm lift so with the stiffer rev springs you cant even run the factory r cams.
