Default any need for oil restrictor?

Is there a need to have an oil flow restrictor into the turbo if the tap is off the oil pressure sending unit??

I dont use a restictor and have had no oiling problems, I have a big shaft turbo and use -3 and my return is -12, you can call Turbonetics and they will tell you about oiling requirements for your particular setup, maybe all you need is to tap the head for some light. I am trying to work out a way to run a Y block out of my oil cooler to the turbo, that would be trick!
