any input would be great
ok heres the dilly.. i got a 92 hatch, already have an n/a ls swap, but have been itching for more, when just the other day i walked into a shop next to mine and stumbbled across a b18c motor, complete with head, tranny (i think with the lsd gotta check), new axles, shift linkage, wiring harness....yes i was like a kid in a candy store...one downfall the blocks gotta hole in it...oh well just gotta get a new one.....anyways i plan on doing a fully built, bullit proof build for turbo, this is my daliy driver... so im looking to do something around 300-400 on the street but that can also be tuned too 500-600 for the track.....this is gonna be a on going project, so i dont care the final cost really, cus lets face it im not rich but i could buget 5-14k over a year or two.... want to doit it right ONCE... i have always done the n/a thing and built a few motors and i am a mechanic as well so i have the know how. however i have not ventured into the turbo world.... so what i need is yalls input on a parts s#@t list of what im gonna need to meet my goals...P.S. i dont do, nor do i believe in cheap a$$ shade tree work or parts, for that matter..like i said gonna do it once, so i need/want a quality parts list, like i said gonna take my time so dont care the cost....any input would be great...thanks

Re: any input would be great
well if you want 400-600hp i would start from the begining with a stout bottom end
things recomended
sleeved block (can up the displacement maybe 84mm)
ls (89mm stroke),gsr (87.2mm stroke),b16(77mm stroke) crank depending on block you sleeve
pistons
rods:eagles, manley, pauter, carrillo (manley are the most popular)
bearings acl or oem
arp head and mainstuds
cometic head gasket
as far as the head go with a b16,gsr or type r head
i would atleast replace the valves, springs and retainers for your goals
and type r cams have been proven to put down good numbers many times
just go check out other poeples sfwd build threads and you will get an idea of what people use to make power turbos and ect.
hope this helps
