Re: Any H22 Nitrous??
Ahh ok, yeah i know!!
i'm kinda new to this nitrous stuff!!
i'm not looking to gain 2 secs or anything on the 1/4 mile just a lil boost to help out a bit!!!
here is my set up -
p&p head
p&p intake manifold with iab's removed
skunk2 pro 2 cams & gears
Full skunk2 pro series valve train
skunk2 high compression valves
type s pistons
eagle rods
shaved head
b16 lsd tranny
now the track we have here sucks ***** but i want to run a low 12 or high 11 second pass, i'm probably in the 220-250 whp range and don't think i'll hit the times i want alone so a 50-75 shot should get me there!

Re: Any H22 Nitrous??
i ran a 12.9 on a 40 shot with a ebay header, untuned.
this year im going for a 75 shot i have a new header (rmf knockoff) and a chipped p28 looking for low 12's i hope
if anybody is wondering why its slow for a H series i believe its cause im in MT at 4k above sea level.

Re: Any H22 Nitrous??
id just make sure its tuned by a good tuner
how strong are those type s pistons? how much power have they been proven to handle reliably?
the safest and best way in my opinion would be to run direct port with a progressive controller and run as much as those pistons can handle because from looking at your mod list the pistons look to be the weak link
the progressive controller is kinda expensive but definately worth it ill put it like i told the d series guy that was asking nitrous q's
i would definately invest in a progressive nitrous controller FOR SURE because it could easily make your motor last plenty longer due to not hitting it all at once but progressively increasing the amount of nitrous. For instance your drag racing, you could set it up to progressively increase the nitrous to the point that you barely have traction but still have traction, next gear same thing, so on and so on and by the time you get to the last gear your going to be in. You may be able to handle a 200-250 shot and still keep traction and increasing speed and lowering your ET.
Get what im saying here about the progressive controller?
running nitrous like this is awesome for straight line racing from what i've seen on domestics
WARNING
this is to the best of my knowledge on the nitrous part, so if im wrong hopefully someone with more knowledge will correct me

Re: Any H22 Nitrous??
No
i've just been around a lot of them mostly domestics
im just learning on these motors and nitrous i sent you a pm
educate me what am saying that is wrong because on a domestic what i said is the safest way to run alot of nitrous safely i know some doing what i said in my above post running low 9's high 8's
progressively adding in more nitrous and fuel until you get to the end of the 1/4 mile.
