Alternatives to GM 3 BAR?
Why are you asking?
I'm running a GM 2 Bar currently. However I just ordered an "MSD" 3 bar off of summit racing for $48, which is the same as a GM 3-bar.

will the "MSD" 3 bar plug in, or do you still need the plug/harness thingy?
You'll still need the harness "thingy". You can pick them up at Pep boys, auto zone, ect.

That out to help you with the install. Any of the 3 pronged weather pack style GM connectors will work, you just may have to key them the same as your GM MAP sensor.
My 3 Bar shipped out today, if you guys need one , $48 is a about as cheap as you're gonna find them. Summit Racing has them in stock right now, they have been backordered for a while. List price on that sensor from GM is about $100.......
Sorry for derailing your original topic MiraiZ. I guess you could always TRY and convert over to something like a MAF style sensor. I'd be cool as hell if you pioneered it and got it done. Mustang's use them I think, and we all know how cheap/easy to find domestic parts are.

I have a 2.5 bar (?) sensor off of a Toyota Previa turbo van. I think it's the same used with the Supras, I could be wrong about that. I have a Chrysler one here somewhere, too, totally forget it's supposed spec. If you have an adjustable setup (AFC, SMC, or other MAP voltage altering device... or a configurable stand alone like the EMS) you can make any non-Ford or non-early 'inverted' GM MAP sensor work like a charm.

I was looking for something a bit more stock looking...I know it shouldn't matter though. I heard that Apexi makes one but I can't find one anywhere.
