Default !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALRIGHT, PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW QUICK !!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Ok,,, I've got an appointment tommorow morning at a local performance shop to get Nitrous Installed on my Stock 98' Civic EX, with a SOHC d16 engine. And, I need some professional help, as to IF my CIVIC will be able to handle a 50-75 shot of nitrous, WITHOUT tearing something up.

I don't wanna waste my time and money, just to blow something up (Head gasket, burnt valve, etc.) the very FIRST time i spray it. So, my question is, AM I SETTING MYSELF UP FOR THE KILL? Do i need to just NOT show up for the appointment? I've heard some good and bad things as far as if my car will hold up to the small shot of nitrous. SOMEONE with a little knowledge in this department PLEASE help me out! THANX TO ANYONE!

at least you didnt call it NOS.........

you probably want to build your engine a little before doing it, though.

I wouldn't run anything above a 50 shot until you step up a bit.

Look up Mista Bone here on HT!

It is a vaild question.

I would recommend a tune-up, esp. oil change before you spray. Wait until car is completly warm...

I hope you're going to spray on the track, if not find a good strip that will not endanger anyone else. Be safe, I also do recommend a compression test before you spray.

I hope you have an aftermarket intake at least, your engine is going to need quite a bit more o2 during the combustion of n2o.

if its in good condition (the engine) it will take even a 120 shot with the proper upgrades.
1. new plugs ngk bkr7e?s
2. FPR
3. New clutch
4. Fuel pump
5. Motor mount inserts

I would use a direct port kit, but even a single nozzle will do fine. If you spray over 50 shot don't forget to pull timing - ~ 2 degrees per 50 shot. Like everyone said do a compression test. Check you timing! Make sure it is set correctly before you do anything.

also give us more info on the kit, wet or dry? what brand? If the shop that is installing the kit is a legit shop than they should know how to properly install the nitrous kit and the precautions needed to safely run the n20.
