Default AIR vs JG.. is it worth it?

From a practical standpoint I know even a stock ITR intake will make more power than you need on the street. but is the AIR worth getting? The tq increase throughout the powerband is phenonenal, and it still makes power at very high rpms. like have two intakes in one..and still stays cool under load but does that justify getting one for a street car if you already have a jg?

it depends upon your whole setup.

are you on a stock head, what are your mods?

if you car is already tuned (if it not, then dont bother upgrading to another intake manifold) then also factor in another 1-2 hours to get it retuned because it will have better volumetric efficiency and will most likely have a leaner a/f ratio.

it common that people throw money into their car and buy more mods, even though they arent even at their full potential with what they already have.

No not tuned yet.. head is stock port, rev springs and retainers. ctr cams sc61 my power goal is whatever I can put down on the street. obviously I didnt need an sc61, ctr cams, aems ems, quaife differential, full race traction bar. and all the other stuff I have for 300-400 (or whatever I can put down on the street,) kinda just went overboard trying to do things right.

"We are prototyping an aluminum manifold with CNC machined runners and a pretty aerodynamic high volume plenum. We're trying to keep this as affordable as possible, too."

Im just waiting to see what Full Race has to offer

well sounds like its a decent setup.

I would just stick with a 300 dollar manifold and get your setup tuned. keep in mind that 1100 bux goes a long way towards other fun stuff.
