Default air filters

i have a small amount of room to work with and i was wondering if anyone knew where to get some small air filters. i have about 1.5 inches between my turbo and my waste gate so i need something that can fit with that.

wow 1.5 inches. thats not that much. can we get a picture of the setup?

id just run a screen with a t bolt clamp around it. the set up will cost lest that 15 bucks and prevent larger objects but not micron objects.

Autozone has these new smaller air filters.
There like 20 bucks and very nice.
Might not be small enough for you though.

I personally always try to put a filter on, but if you have that much room you are pretty much screwed. Shows us a picture, might be able to help.

K & N makes lots of sizes, but I think that will be way too tight for any. You need to provide inlet diameter and a pic of the setup, otherwise look at these two lists:

just check the filter , and then double check , is it goin to fall to bits ? any metal caps that could come off ... only saying as my filter did just that 2 nights ago, shiny new garrett turbo is not so shiny now .

dont skimp out on a cheap filter. lesson learned the hard way.

what i have on it now is something like redls said and what i was thinking about doing was just cutting out a piece of a fram filter and putting it on the outside of the wire mesh. the only thing i see that might be a problem is the heat. i don't want to be boosting and have the filter catch on fire...

also, from the first list hiprofile posted, i think part number RU-2760 would fit just fine, only down side is that its $30... cheaper then a rebuild kit i suppose though

A filter as small as your wanting is going to be a huge restriction. Also, that one you mentioned is 2 inches which is obviously not 1.5
