I'm sure it is, when I toke off the wastegate it had peices of metal in it..look like keeper peices. I'll take the turbine housing off later and post a pic tonight.

 

He said he had like a bus length on the guy on the top of 2nd...I asked him well was it worth it? He just put his head down and walked inside the house. Think it's safe to say he learned his lesson.

 

I could see shifting fast if you're loosing for money - but hell, a bus length ahead for fun? Its not cheap sht like a stock sohc either... So many kids bend/break forks and mis-shift around here it's not funny.

I took the turbine housing off. Had a few metal pieces in them, here are the pics.

 

Its damaged but not as bad as I thought it would of been.

 

x2. i would have thought there would be more broken and bent blades.

 

But in the end it is worth more to the scrap yard, when the price goes back up. Some major crackness going on there wowzor's. Any spec's on piston / rod combo? Major compressor damage there..wow, i wonder how the bearings look after being sarved for oil for who knows how long. Off to bigger beter things, thats my moto!

Damn that is some damage. If he builds his own motor this time, I bet he'll think twice about racing again.

 

I don't understand how people mis shift, its attention to detail. I'm not saying I'm the best by any means but last thing i think of when doing a pull 3rd to 4th is my mistake of shifting into the wrong gear. More worried but something letting lose.
