Default AFC hack question

i searched a bit and have not seen anyone with this prob. First off here is the setup ........ 92 hatch, gsr swap, greddy kit ,afc dsm 450's

car runs strong we have it set to 10lbs with a profecb b ,,,fpr with vac off is at 52

car runs fine with just the little hesitation every now and then at around 6k
but here is the thing it will throw a CEL out of the blue once in a great while. The car will just be driving normally not boosting or anything and the light comes on

anyone have this happen? i havent checked the code yet but will in the morning any help would be great thx guys

Could be cel 13 (baro) which will not affect your car at all. Just a guess.

Bah, just do it now and holler back. Stick in a paperclip, turn the key to the II position, and watch the dashboard fireworks. And a CEL 13, like everyone said, is pretty normal with the hack. I never got one, though, because I'm super cool.

cel is probably baro or too rich/lean. have you had your car dyno tuned? i would recommend it immediately. i thought my settings were ok to start...knew they were a little rich for safety, but they were WAY rich. got an extra 22hp on the dyno and rid of any stalling/bogging issues. after driving the car on a trip i also got a hell of a lot more gas mileage.

dyno it!!

i believe he said 3 was for map and 16 is for injector prob

we have the dsm 450's put in with no resistor box. Do u need a resistor box for obd1?

CEL 3 is for your MAP sensor. check your wiring and make sure everything's connected ok.

CEL 16 is fuel injectors. check your wiring of the resistor box. and also, did you get your injectors cleaned and flow tested before you put them in? just some suggestions

hahahahhah sorry but hella yeah u need a resistor box man....shoulda did a little more homeowork on the hack....all dsm 450 need a resistor box on them because they are peak and hold injectors and ur car is a saturated type injector from the factory...go to the junkyard and pick one up for 10 bucks....that should clear most of the problems for you...and like racerage1 said...get those cleaned or get new injectors...i had problems with dsm and switched to 440cc instead...no resistor box needed....and also i havnt heard of too many obd1 cars having a cel 13 usually obdII cars....cel 3 check all the wiring for the afc too...just to be sure

or you could get 4 resistors from radio shack for a total cost of $1.86 after tax and splice them into the yellow with black stripe wire on the injector clips

I get the cel light once in awhile but nothing is wrong. The tuner told me it was going to happen and it isn't a problem.
