Default AFC Hack? Help

im thinking about tuning a boosted setup with an AFC instead of dishing out more for a new ECU and all that stuff. but im wondering if the AFC hack is just an AFC combined with new injectors or if its a special way of tuning and setting the A/F ratio.

sorry for the dumb questions

thanks

If you havent bought anything yet, ECU with free tuning software is the only real option.

get ur stock ecu chipped and tuned with crome. Still cheaper than an afc

there is no easy way out when it comes to tuning its either the right way or the extremely wrong way.

and afc hack is the extremely wrong way,

you have to pay to play and the only way to play is to pay. remember that

Fmu even worse idea than AFC hack

so just get a chipped ecu and go with it

oh no lol, i was talking about the chipping and whatnot for the p28 to get crome to run so you can do the full boost tune..

i was quoted 400.00 for a dyno street tune on s crome based application (crome, neptune, turboedit ect)

400 isnt too bad. but it depends on how well your setup is and how well it responds to the application/psi/power ect is to how long it will take on the dyno

i do recomend to get your car in tip top shape it possible can get to before getting dyno/street tuned

i didn't know the FMU "inexplicably" changed your ignition timing along with fuel.
for 6 psi i'd take 310cc injectors, an 8:1 fmu and an afc if you're way too lazy to reap the great benifits, ease of tuning, and with a good tune complete reliability with a program such as hondata, crome, or even uberdata.

just installed my s-afc and let me say its AMAZING! i looked at turbod16.com and got a pretty good setting on my afc. i just put the numbers in (5 min) just have to explore and play around. But its a night and day difference. it may not be the best but its what i got to use for now. and i spent only $100 bucks for one pretty much new.

my set-up
-stock d15b7
-450s
-14b turbo

the power curve is more linear, no more hesitation, bad mpg. for $100 bucks it runs like a champ. but in time i plan on switching over to chrome.

I bet you wouldnt be so happy if you had a wideband to actually see what your motor is doing

True. Not to mention using a 14B Mitsubishi turbocharger.
