AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator

After upgrading to my AEM FPR and rail this weekend I notice that after I prime the system and leave the ignition on the fuel pressure drops pretty fast as compared to the stock FPR. Is this a property of the AEM FPR? I have no leaks and the pressure holds fine with the engine running.
