Thanks,
AEM said it will be released in December and the retail price of the Street Verison will be $1868.
Kinda pricey in my opinion...no?
The street price should b a few hundred less though right?

The cost of hondata will be much less than the AEM for people who
already have a pre-96 ECU. All others might think twice however.
I stand behind hondata as one of the best tuning tools out there.
Will have to wait and see what AEM has to offer.
Someone buy it and report!!

yeah aem for almost 2Grand, i doubt it i was guessing around 1300 myself... you wouldn't have to buy a obd1 , all you would need is a harness...
but what things does this do that hondata don't....
i think the aem has boost contol, but i'm not sure.

But not everyone will need/want the fullprogrammability that is offered.
Some/most will want to save money and have a good tuned ecu rather
than be able to adjust settings on their own. sometimes its better that way
anyway, i know too many people who like to "tinker" so to speak

anyway, i know too many people who like to "tinker" so to speak
exactly. The majority of people do not need that much flexibility, and a Hondata 2b tuned is plenty for most. Too much tinkering in the wrong hands leads to a lot of blown motors, poor power, and poor drivability.
2b for OBD1 = ~650
2b for OBD2 = ~1050-1200 (depending on cost of ECU)

The AEM is sequential, so add another $700 to get the sequential Speed Pro. The AEM plugs into stock sensors with stock harness, so it is a bit easier to install.
