AEM EMS Timing Question...
Just recently installed a 30-1040EMS in my '92 DA. Base calibrations have been loaded and now that my wideband is in, i'm slowly getting the fuel map brought into spec. The question I have is as follows:
I matched the timing of the engine to the exact timing on the EMS. Now, under full load and high RPMs the engine is recieving upwards of 38degrees of advance. Does anyone know what a good time/load curve would be or have a link to one? I was under the impression that, that much advance is excessive. I'm currently tuning this to a B16a before I drop in the built turbo engine. I'd rather damage this one over the new one...
