Default AEM EMS & J&S Safe Guard

I have an AEM EMS (haven't installed it yet). I tried looking on their site and im unclear as to whether the J&S safeguard is still useful, or if the AEM actually can do the same thing the J&S does.

Anyone have a clue? Thanks

safeguard is pointless if you have hondata or ems.

safeguard is an alternative if you don't properly tune your chit.

the reason the safeguard looks interesting to me is the 'oops' factor. the day somethign goes wrong in my setup, itll help not blow up the engine by retarding the timing. what im wondering is if the AEM EMS has this same exact feature or not
