AEM EMS hi/low boost switch?
Just wondering (once I actually get this thing on the road) is there anyone who has heard of a way to have a hi/low boost button that would work with the AEM EMS? I have the GM boost solenoid, maybe a relay with a resistor to the solenoid? Anyone know?
I'm not sure because it's not on the road yet. I know you can have different tune programs but you have shut the car off, load it then turn it back on (kind of a pain in the a$$).

yes the ems has a speed dependent boost setup

I looked at the AEM EMS software a long time ago so I dont know too much about it. It does allow you to create boost by speed though. You might want to spend some time figuring that out as that would be the best solution.
Found this for you. Detailed explanation on how to setup boost control with AEM EMS.

you can control boost per speed like others have mentioned, and also you can use a switchable source as well. ive never used a switch, but i know its not difficult to setup.

Thanks Guys, I just read the EMS boost control site, I'm going to try to figure out how to do the hi/low setup. I'll keep everyone posted.
Also, MASE what do you normally charge (aside from travel) to tune 5 cars?

The boost control with the EMS works great, I've ben running it for a few months now...
You can do boost based on vehical speed, tps%, or hi/low switch.
I have tried both vss, and switch.
The switch is easy to setup and takes all of 2 mins to setup.
Most people use the GM Boost solenoid. much like myself. Seems to work well.
With $30 boost solendoid wired to your EMS, you get a full multi featured e-boost controller, can't beat that deal.
Or you could always send hondata a few hundred bucks and they'll give you a few boost coloums in your map, then you can buy a seperate e-boost controller for $500+ And try and get it all to play nice together.

well, honestly, the past couple trips havent been up to par, some cars had big time issues and ****. normally i charge 300-400 per car depending upon the setup for that type of deal. but maybe i should start charging per day...cuz there has been quite a few times where ill travel, and cars arent even tunable, so i travel for not much $$ and turns out not to be worth it.
PM me for more details or if you want to talk about it further

People got this thing working well!! What version are you running. I screwed around with it for a month last year and could never get it dialed..
Anyone have the traction control (besides the 2 step) on the aem ems working well yet? It would be nice if it worked as well as the racelogic tc units.
you can setup a high/low switch as well as vss based boost...all at the same time.
you do not need an external boost controler with the ems, just a gm boost control soleniod.
i have not used the traction control on a honda yet. i have used it on a viper and it worked great, it just takes a while to setup.
