don't mess w/ your Fuel Pressure unelss you have a fuel gauge . the fuel gague is no more then $20 at a hardware store or somewhere online. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't adjust anything w/o the proper tools. In this case a fuel gague is necessary. If you don't know where the current pressure is at, why guess and change it. W/ that said..GL, it ain't my car so choice is up to you.

Exactly.....don't make any changes unless you know where it's at rite now

increaseing flow will lower the fuel pressure. So by turning it clockwise (screwing the screw down) it increases the fuel pressure which is decreasing the flow.Turning the adjustment srew counter clockwise (backing it out) reduces the fuel pressure (increasing the flow).

Drats, I actually messed with the fpr before I read everyones comments. Is there anyway to do it by using the a/f ratio gauge? I know it's a long shot but I just needed to lean my fuel b/c I was way too rich at idle (I would get black stuff coming out if I rev it). I was running way too rich before so I just turned to the left (to decrease the flow) to lean it a bit. Right now it idles near the top of the rich side ( near the border line of the stotich mark. Is that where I'm suppose to be at or should I be in yellow at idle? When I do have time to get the pressure guage, what psi should my fuel be at? Right now I'm running 440cc sat injectors with s-afc hack and aem fpr. THanks for all your help guys...

There is no way to know for sure with the AFR gauge. You must have a fuel pressure gauge. With 440s I would seet it on the low side, 35-38psi.
Anyone else?

I know if it is too rich idle will be affected. When you start to lower fuel pressure you can hear the motor idling smoother.

Get a guage dude. You risk more than crap gas mileage without one.

ya, i just order the B&M gauge today but it will be about a week before it will get here. What else can happen if I'm running rich? My gas milleage seems really shitting. I'm getting about 150-180 with a full tank. What is most ppl getting?

Wat is the ideal IDLE fuel pressure???? Is 35-38 correct and am I suppose to have fuel coming out of my exhaust at start up? What does it mean when I have fuel coming out at startup and then it stops when the car warms up?

It means spend a few bucks and go dyno tune it dude.

After spending all that cash $85 for dyno time would be a VERY wise investment....save you gas, make more power and probably save your O2 sensors and cat from fouling up.
