Default AEM 5 bar map install question...

I got my 5 bar sensor today that I'm putting in for my Hondata, but I noticed something weird with the pig tail that came with it.

in addition too the 3 wires, there is this uncovered, bare wire that is soldered at the end. Is this some type of ground wire?

I just noticed this when I was looking at the wires, and was like...WTF?

Thanks,
Bryson

I noticed that too. Not sure what to make of it. I just hadn't gotten to asking about. Motec sales an adaptor to go from a gm 2 or 3 bar map sensor to the 5 bar. I had just planned on buying the adaptor.

Hrmm...Its just weird too, since I also received instructions from AEM with the sensor, but it says nothing about the bare wire.

Thats what I thought it would be for...But it's kinda funny how it sticks out like a sepearte wire, and is soldered at the end. It's almost like they want you to think you need to attach it to something.
