They do MUCH more than just sleeving. They are a full tunning shop.. One of the best places in your area. Highly recommended

no. not sarcasm. those guys are the biggest clown dicks and frauds in the industry. how about:

sent a block to them on a "sponsor deal" to have a motor build featured in a Nissan book written by a very prominant writer.

I was told 2 weeks....it took 4 months.

when i got the block the sleeves were in it 1mm out of center toward the exhaust side.

the top of the block was decked at an angle.

I specified 0.004" piston-wall for 600whp application. the bored it to over 0.007" piston-wall

they told me i would need custom pistons to make 600...due to the proximity of the top ring. (not true)

The owner of the company refused to talk to me about resolving the problem.

-----

next they sleeved ablock for a friends QR25DE turbo project...

it dropped the sleeves

they got him another block

it ate piston skirts due to the sleeve design.

-----

next they built a 2.2L big bore SR for an acquantince of mine.

it smoked from startup.

1200 miles later after the smoke got so bad...he tore it down

having never even boosted the motor past 7 psi he found:

torn up bearings.
piston skits that had scored the cylinder walls and killed the rings

excessive piston-wall clearance 0.007"+ again.

When he tried to contact them he was told that he rant the motor too lean and damged it. the car was tuned to run 15.0:1 at crusing, 13.5:1 at light acceleration, 11.8:1 at 7 psi. timin was correct. he was told he should have been runnign the motor at 13.5:1 crusing, 12.0:1 light accel, 10.5:1 @ 7psi...adn that he casued his own failure...tough luck.

-----

so yes... i would say they are incometent clown dicks....at best.

damn I'm sorry you had that experience!!! your the FIRST!!!! I've never heard that much stuff, but I heard they do everything in house now. I don't know if that might have been the root of your problem . everything I heard was in house now so if it's messed up then it's all AEBS.

I don't think Aries is the regular tuner. I think he just uses the shop every now and again.

I had a problem with AEBS tuning my Hondata S100, they almost blew up my motor about a year ago. I doubt i will ever go there again to have my Hondata tuned since I found Church Automotive.

After I went to Church, Shawn showed me how bad they "tuned" my car and I picked up over 35 WHP and about 30ft/lbs of torque thanks to Church.

I have never had any problems, other than then taking a really LONG time. The quality is very good, but it took them 6 months to Sleeve a VQ35 (Nissan 350Z) we sent them. That motor is fairly new, and they are the only co. producing sleeves at that time.. So I will give them that... On a B18c-R race Motor we sent to them the piston to wall clearance wasclaimed to be too big, and the bottom end balancing was of by 3 grams. That is alot. We did not end up assembling this motor, so I did not see this myself. This was coming from a reliable race team though. I know they DO NOT do there balancing in house. (Or at least not 8 months ago) This also took longer than expected. We have used them to sleeve other race motors, with no prblems at all. The quality was visually very good, and it took alot of abuse......
