Default Advantages/Disadvantages of boost+AT

I miss my old turbo setups and have decided to get a 4 door teg as a daily driver, rebuild the stock ls OR find a B20 and put together a setup for the motor. I plan on getting a small turbo, most likely internally waste gated, maybe a Greddy one, and only run low boost.

What would be the advantages or disadvantages to do this with an automatic car?

Only reason is because I'm in the process of building another Integra the way it should've been before my accident last October, now drive a manual Civic and realize its become a pain in the *** driving manual in traffic or to work/school so I'm looking to grab an auto for that.

If it matters, this is what I plan on doing:
B18b or B20b/z
log manifold
undecided turbo
small intercooler
310cc injectors
greddy type s bov

Wanting to make 210/180 ish

NEED INSIGHT PLEASE

the disadvantage is honda auto tranny's suck when you try to throw any decent amount of power at them

There's not an advatage.
Disadvantage, still won't be all that fast, the tranny will shift to early, depending on how you beat on it the tranny may give out.

I used to own a turboed auto SOHC Civic. It now has over 100k turboed, same turbo, same tranny, 3rd owner...with a boost leak.

you must be talking specifically about the AT's.

For what you want it for..there won't be any downfalls other than lack of enjoyment IF you use a turbo that spools early. (like 3Krpms)

Just take special care of the tranny..and if you need anything upgraded on that transmission or fixed, just go to levelten.com. Everything you need for a Honda AT. They'll make it faster than a MT (atleast in drag situations) if you want.

I would JRSC the car instead...power always on demand, since the AT is gonna be shifting when you don't want it to.
