Default Adjusting BOV

I just got my type s bov on and I made it loose and I am still hearing some "surge"...the bov should completely get rid of the compressor surge right? And another thing was the guy who welded the flange onto the charge pipe didnt cut the flange in half circle so if you put your finger in there there is a 1" wall on both sides inside of the pipe...I am not shure how bad that would hurt performance but I am guessing it is not a good thing?

the flange sticking into the charge pipe will definitely hurt the performance, since your still experiencing some "surge" you should probably loosen it some more, i'm dealing with the same thing right now
