ACL Bearings good?
I have seen nothing but great results from ACL bearings. I can't remember ever hearing a bad thing. I personally am using them in my rebuild and they were all well within spec

ACL bearings are used not only by the Top pro racers but alot of H-T members have used them also, and price is very reasonable. They come in STD which in honda color code is Brown.is that correct guys.?? Complete bearing kit which includes

I dont understand if they only come in one size (brown) how can they work? It was my understanding that Honda engines were built to very tight specs from the factory and required each engine to have different size bearings (within the range of course).

I run only OEM bearings in my motors.
I've seen the wear that happens when you run too loose or tight on bearinsg, and IMO it's better to run the right clearences.
Race motors are a different thing. When you run 'slightly' looser you have less friction and can make a little more power.....better to run proper clearence tho in a motor that will see a lot of miles.

What "Top pro racers" are running them? Are they all the same clearances like the ones customers get?

ACL are designed for Green and Brown Color. If you're color in between green, yellow and brown, you can use ACl and you'll be within specs.
if your color is black or pink, you may neet to machine the journal to the green spec, but if you have to do this, just get OEM bearings.
I have 4 green and 1 yellow on Main, and 3 green and 1 brown on Rod. I Used ACL and all DEAD within specs.
