About how fast do turbos spin?

Default About how fast do turbos spin?

How many rpms are these things spinning to push so much air?

If you look at the compresor map the numbers on the right side of the map are the tubo's rpms. this is a map for a t40e 54 trim. someone correct me if i'm wrong about the numbers.

Damn, I didn't think they spun that fast. If I remember correctly, my Turbonetics turbo came with a little tag on it saying something like "good to 40,000 rpms". You sure about what those numbers represent?

Damn, I didn't think they spun that fast. If I remember correctly, my Turbonetics turbo came with a little tag on it saying something like "good to 40,000 rpms". You sure about what those numbers represent?
I know they spin faster than 40k...I guess that's just their lame-*** warranty...upwards to 100k is pretty common as I understand
