Re: 91oct + E85?????? (Flipnotize21)
E85 is usually 105 octane also i dont know about mixing it 50/50 i usually see it mixed with 70% or more gas to 30% or less alcohal
bigbadboy running 100% alcohal requires a better supporting fuel system an that can be costly. also mixing the fuels is to check detenation in check and since alcohal burns cooler it carries the torque line higher into the rpms

Re: 91oct + E85??????
E85 is 85% ethanol and 15%petroleum and is equivilant to ~105-106 octane.
It has a much lower air/fuel ratio to be in stoich conditions (i think 9:1), so it will require larger injectors inorder to supply to additional fuel. I think it ends up coming down to requiring 30%more fuel for E85 than normal gasoline, so basically, you'll need to be able to flow 30% more fuel-whether that means larger injectors, larger fuel line..etc...
Mixxing the two is a not a good idea. THe fact that E85 is already a mixed solution can throw things off to begin with...then mixing it with gas couldn't help things.
I have no idea how to figure out what the octane rating would be,nor do i have any idea how you could figure it out.fyi.. It's not the same as mixing 91 octane and 87 octane gas...
My advice, if you're wanting to push more power on the street than 91octane can take, get alocohol injection. Set it up so that it only sprays at WOT and you'll be good to go
