807 WHP STI
This is a friends car that has been a work in progress for some time. He's been working the bugs out lately and finally getting some results.
Last weekend, the car went 10.7@130 at 23 PSI.
Yesterday, we hit the dyno with that map and boost and the car made 608HP on a Dynojet 424XLC2 or what ever it is... At 29 PSI (limit of 3 bar MAP) and the car made 807 WHP.

I was the passenger on the street run and I had a grin ear to ear with my teeth clenched as hard as my fist was arounf the roll cage. See you guys at IDRC this weekend!

My thought as well. Must be the Utah correction factor. j/k
Sweet car. I assume the tranny can take the abuse?

Thats what I was thinking too.
I highly doubt that 130mph run was done on full boost, a 3200lb car needs at least 550whp to hit those speeds. Given a heavy car with massive traction and 800whp, it should be going at least 140's and in the 9's.

The 10.7@130 was on 23 PSI and a street tune. On this tune and boost level it dyno'd 608.
At 23 PSI, we picked up another 80 WHP from the street tune with A/F and timing changes. The 807 was made on 29 PSI.
The other 120WHP came from 6 more pounds of boost, which seems prety reasonable to me? 20 WHP/psi on a 2.65L...

Re: 807 WHP STI (g2turbo)
It was tuned on a dynojet, the AWD dynojets read about 10-15% higher than the mustang dyno's I tune on. Something like 686hp. for 15%. Goodnumbers just the same. and its a hella fast car.

Funny you say that. The shop we were tuning at has a dynojet, a mustang dyno, and a superflow dyno. The friend running the dyno works there and he ran the same car on all three dynos the on wednesday of last week. The dynojet actually put out the lowest numbers of all three dynos. Granted it was on a lower HP car though.
I just looked at the logs of the street pull. I had backed off the boost a few PSI. At the boost level it was at, it made a little over 700 WHP on the dyno. He also wasn't hitting the gears to fast so the turbo had to respool after each shift. On a solid pass the boost stays pretty rock solid the whole run.

The Mustang dyno didn't read the lowest of the three?
The dynojet did.

Nope, we turned the boost down a bit to make sure the different load on the street didn't overboost it past the limits of the 3 bar MAP. Looking at the log of the street pull, it was probably around the 700HP mark when it got to full boost. He was shifting it pretty slow though and half of each gear was actually spent respooling the turbo. All the runs at the track show instant boost response, but it was pretty lazy on the street from the slow shifts.

The STI has an extra gear to go through, which will slow it down a little on the drag strip. But he hopes to see it drop into the single digits this season.

usually STI motors crack the #3 cylinder wall and piston once they get over 450hp because of the mani wraps around this part of the motor and heat distorts everything so what manifold is this guy using ?
