Default 6265 Turbo

I am wanting to get the Billet 6265 turbo t3 flange with the a/r .82. I have a gsr block.. sleeved and bored to 85mm with forged ls pistons/ and eagle rods(ls), with ls crank.. with a b16 head with gsr cams.. I am going to drive it once in a blue moon on the track.. but this is my weekend car.. I have been hearing so many different things about this turbo.. I am wondering to get it.. because it can make about 750.. and that is what i am looking for, but if i could make out a 6262.. and make that it would be good too.. lol.. but i just don't know which one to get... i going to be on e85.. with 1600cc injectors.. hopefully i could do it.. with a inline 044 and intake walbro 255.. or get close to it.. what are you guys/ girls opionion on which turbo to get(lag i don't care about) so people saying it is lagging turbo.. is just the people that dont need it.. lol

I have a Journal 6265 and love it... Streetable Turbo. If your running E85, as long as you have a good fuel pressure regulator you can up the fuel pressure a bit and you should be good to make that power. Dont forget your return and feed line as well.... 1600cc is enough though for E85.

While those GSR cams can make that power it would make your life a lot easier by getting atleast Type R cams or Pro1's.

what are you trying to ask? if you don't care about lag, get it. it'll be a little laggier than a 6262, and make a little more power. if lag doesn't matter, what are you trying to ask?

I am asking what is going to be a better powerband? That is my question... If i only get to full boost and have to shift 2000 rpm's after.. then the turbo is pointless...

The 6265 has a larger exhaust wheel. spool will be pretty close to the 6262 and the 6265 will achieve the same hp at a slightly lower boost pressure from the higher flowing exhaust wheel

either turbo you will have about the same powerband and you will have usable powerband but when going for big numbers you have to expect lag and no low end. if you want a bigger powerband and not peak dyno queen numbers then get a more properly sized turbo for that application

If you can get a 6265 for the same price as a 6262, I would recommend getting the 6265 because its a tad bigger.

Just get a turbo blanket with it... man those turbo blankets are worth every penny! T1!
