500hp b18 build
alright so I'm am looking to build a 500hp b18 on pump gas 92-93 oct and it will be a street car but would like to hit the strip and track every now and then would like it to be pretty reliable... so i would like 500 but would be happy with anything over 400 but i will not take any thing less then that!! i am looking to do a turbo build and i would just like a little help with it.
alright so what i have so far is a b18 block that I'm having sleeve by Benson, i have a b18 grs head that i had done with a full skunk 2 pro series stage 1 valve train. so i need some help on my fuel system, rods, pistons, turbo and ext. if some one could just help me get a good rough idea or point me to some build sheet just to give me a little better idea of what im going to need to do this that would be great..... and please dont get on here telling me it cant be done on pump gas,I have seen it done!

ID 1000cc injectors, eagle rods, arias/cp pistons....
turbo there is soo many options if you are unable to figure that out yourself I would say Hit up theshodon. you may pay a little more for one of his turbos but you will end up with a great turbo that fits your purpose.
Additionally at the end of the day numbers are just numbers and 500 HP isnt really a good idea for a "street" car IMO, I would way rather have a more responsive and usable power band then have mostly top end only...Not very "driveable" on the street if you ask me. I too originally was stuck on a 500 WHP goal after looking into it more, lack of traction in lower gears and relying on revving high has made me decide to go with a lower goal of somewhere around 350-400

You'd need at least one of the new technology 60mm turbos to make that power on 93 oct pump gas. The GSR head and Pro 1 cams will help with the overall efficiency an help get to your 500whp pump gas goal easier.
As a general guide look for a turbo with minimum 60 lb/min flow. Some of the options here are as follows:
* GT3582R
* GTX3576R
* Precision 5858
* Precision 6062 G2
* BW S360 & S362 as well as new SXE versions thereof
* Holset HX40
* Xona Rotor 6564
BW and Xona have new 57mm turbos which claim to flow 65 lb/min from a compact 57mm compressor wheel - these could potentially be a responsive street turbo with enough top-end flow (The Shodan would be able to tell us all more)
As some other members have said, 500whp on street tyres in a FWD Honda is not very usable, Anything over 350whp and you start having serious traction issues on normal street tyres.
If you happy running on drag radials or semi-slick tyres like Toyo R888, you can get away with more power - but boost by gear is also your friend.
