Default 3" piping approriate for setup?

Im baffled in what size piping to use in my setup.. I've been seeing setups using a range of diffrent size piping on both sides, so I came here to get some input. The turbo or turbos I am looking at running is either the gt30r or the 6262.. I have read that the smaller the piping the faster spool but you loss more air flow, witch is a no brainer there. any imput on the turbo would work best and size piping. this is mainly a track car. so best setup for track.
hp goal for this year around 500hp

turbo setup
boostflow ramhorn t3, 38mm
3" dp
std dt
precision 750hp rated intercooler

motor specs
b18c1
stock sleeves 81mm
cp piston 9:1 and manley rods ect.
stock crank

b18c1 head no p&p
type r cams
skunk2 pro series valve train ect.
vx intake mani..

um not 3" is way to large for either turbo you listed. you should run 2.25-2.5.

SRE on ebay makes a good charge pipe kit for a good price. Ive been running the SRE kit for 5 years no problems. they give you 2" from turbo to intercooler and 2.5" from intercooler to intake manifold with your choice of bov flange. I changed my hotside from 2 to 2.5" just because i had the pipe and i got a different manifold and that no longer worked

EDIT: Sre piping is now all 2.5", just looked it up on the bay
