Default 3" downpipe and A/C?

I've heard from numerous people that one can not keep their A/C in their Integra if they go with a 3" downpipe; is this true? Can or has it been done? I would prefer not to remove my A/C, but a 3" downpipe could justify doing so.

Thank you in advance.

Chris

You can use a 2.5" at the beginning of the downpipe and let it flare out to 3" dp. Similar to Arturbo's downpipe. It has been done. I dont think the 3" downpipe will clear the a/c condenser, that is the problem.

So ARTurbo's downpipe is 2.5" but then flares into 3" after the A/C Condenser?

i had a 3" dp all the way in my 1996 civic coupe with a b18c1. rev-hard manifold and fastrax t3/t04e and kept my a/c. the only problem is that the turbo was big and there was no space to fit the a/c fan. since then, i now run a hotshot manifold with the compressor on the driver side.

Everyone above is ofcourse correct. You will have to run a 2.5" pipe off the turbo and run it down below the condensor then flare it to 3" if you want. Thats really the only option.
