Default 2jz E85 fuel setup

Im not getting a straight answer on the supra boards..

I have currently a 240sx with a 1jz. I am in the process of upgrading to a 2jz. and I am looking to run just e85.

All I want is 600rwhp and If possible I would like to use just a single pump as I had a bad experience with Twin walboro's.

Will:

Single bosch 044
-8an Feed
-6an return
1000cc injectors

Will this be enough for 600rwhp? or do i need bigger lines or a bigger fuel pump

The straight answer you get from Supra boards is take it someplace and spend money, huh?

I've never dealt with a Bosch 044 to know it's flow properties, but everything else looks sufficient for 600.

What was your bad experience with twin Walbros, may I ask?

Its my understanding that an 044 cant make 700hp on Gasoline, so its def not going to make 600 on Ethanol.....same with the 1000cc Injectors.

You need a bigger pump and probably Injectors, remember you have to leave additional room in your fuel system.... you dont want to be running around with it "maxed out"

one of them quit on the dyno and fuel pressure fell on its *** and we caught it in time to not blow the motor. I dont ever want to run dual pumps no matter what brand now. and yes Supra boards typical answer to questions is like this..

Question: i want 500hp what turbo should I get?
Answer: get a 71mm. 1000 cc injectors, motec m800

Question I want 550hp. Should I do anything to the bottom end
Answer: yes order the $8,000 Shortblock from titan, hks 272 cams, tilton triple disc and a motec m800

The WHOLE board is sponser run so the shortest answer is to spend money at shops or everything suggested is extreme overkill. and if you dont want to spend the money. buy a civic.

Supra Guys. Wonderful customers, but tend to be "wallet mechanics" compared to H-T standards. They are a different breed that I like, but at the same time, have no idea about different aspects of their cars. They tend to have a higher disposable income, so get used to it.

As for the answer to your question, for 600whp on E85, 1000 cc injectors could possible do the job but most supra-E85 users tend to use external Aeromotive or Bosch fuel pumps like you described. It's a matter of tuning after that point.

Shodan, would raising the line pressure with the FPR make a difference? or is it flow that matters?

The 044 flows 250@90psi

Six 1000cc injectors will make 600 on E85, at 45-50 psig base pressure, but it is up against their limit. They are relatively efficient motors, using the rule of thumb gasoline bsfc X 1.3 = E85 bsfc says it's doable.

That's odd, Walbro failure is super rare. Further they are positive displacement pumps so having two pumps in parallel won't kill one of them due to caviation like some pump designs. Anyway, if it happened to me I'd probably feel similarly, so I'm not criticizing.

I made an offhand comment to a Supra owner that 90's Toyota wiring was rotted garbage, and that if I owned one of the cars I'd buy a new harness from the dealer for it. When he dropped the car off for a big single conversion he had a new engine harness to be installed with it.

Go with the injector dynamics 1000cc injectors.

The walboro 255 is about the same standard and flow rate as a stock OEM Denso Fuel pump, so it would be better to go with something larger and external. if 120-160lbs/min injectors are possible that would work better for your E85 desires. AEM would need to be used best as a tuning solution for this.

Just out of the blue, try giving the maker of this one a shout..
