220 WHP Jrsc?
Search and searched. There is a whole bunch of JRSC in the search but most of it is that dreaded SC VS TURBO discussion...
Anyway Just wondering how feasible 220WHP from a JRSC is.
Say on a b18c1 with bolt ons and a stepper pully and some tunning either by hondata or AEM EMS.
Ive seen a few 205-210 WHP Jrsc's so It shouldnt be to hard right? This is going to be put in a friends GSR who is looking to autoX and have some fun on the streets. Besides the heat issue that is not as bad as some make it out to be the JRSC should make good power with good tunning right?

Check out LOwrestling2k1 posts. He was running a jrsc for a while and dyno'd around that range.

Re: 220 WHP Jrsc? (sgT)
6psi JRSC
stock gsr motor
kamikaze header
stock itr exhaust
forget what intake
hondata
WOW, looks like tunning is what was causing low numbers when it first came out huh? I have been out of the FI loop for a while so when I was looking at the JRSC a few years ago it wasnt making any power, but hondata and AEM EMS were barely there.
I love tunning.

Re: 220 WHP Jrsc? (metal-x)
Buddy of mine just dyno'ed his jrsc'ed gsr, with a cheap intake, greddy header, greddy evo cat back, cartech fmu and an intank pump.
he got 225/156 to the wheels at stock boost i was impressed he did this with stock boost, and very minimal tuning.

My friend dynoed at 236.6whp with:
B18c1
JRSC 8psi pulley
JR intank fuel pump
310cc injectors
vafc
Kamikazi header
Tanabe racing medalion exhaust
test pipe
AEM CAI
msd btm
And thats about it I think..

With tunning 8 psi and the right bolt ons you should see around 230-235WHP. Most GSR's will run 215-220 at 6 psi.
With a little more boost and the right parts you can make much more.

Re: 220 WHP Jrsc? (CRVRX)
I keep saying this, but I`ll be firing up my 2.0l JRSC`d b18c this weekend. Should have some numbers within a few weeks. It`s been a "fun" build.

You'll have no problems achieving those numbers on a well tuned JRSC setup. Here's my old stock exhaust equipped Civic Si (B16A2) at 6psi and 8psi.
