Default 2000 HP Garrett Prototype Turbo !!!!

Just wanted to share some pics of my friends turbo.
Its the first of its kind. Its has a 95mm compressor wheel.
The exhuast housing is T6 with a 5 inch opening.
This turbo is rated to be good up to 2000 HP.
Heres the pics.

On a fully built 427 that would be pretty sick.

I almost shot water out of my nose on the "will it spool on a d-series" comment.. lol

They had to machince the compressor housing to fit the upgraded wheel, since this wheel is the biggest that could be used for the shaft size of this turbo.
Part of the housing had to be cut off just so it could fit it into the machince at the turbo shop. They had a hell of a time making this turbo since they went through 2 housing and 2 comp wheels.

I cant reveal the motor or its setup. All I can tell you is that its going on a piston motor. My turbo builder already make a similar turbo, just a bit smaller and it made 1,700whp on a rotary motor.

I think he is refering to the compressor tip. Seems that it was rewelded on like it might have broken off.

Woah, slow down TURBO! It looks like it was repaired, so as if it COULD have been dropped and cracked or something. So relax.
