2-Step Turbo Question
When I set the limiter to cut just ignition, the car pops and sounds so violent as opposed to cutting both fuel and ignition. Is one or the other safer for the car? Or does it even make a damn difference? lol.
2 step is for building boost, when you retard ignition and the fuel stays there it ignites in the turbo and exhaust ports to generate alot of heat and spool the turbo thats the popping your going to hear. Its nto going to damage anything thats the purpose of 2step.
just a staging rev limit is fuel and ignition cut and will just hold you at lower rpm than redline

Thats weird. When I cut just ignition, it pops but doesnt build any boost, but when i cut both fuel and ignition, it builds 4psi but doesnt pop, Lol.
Keep in mind this is just the 2 step, not antilag.

On my buddies 1.8L gsr. We set the Fuel cut on the two step to 5500 and the Ignition cut to 5400 rpm today from 4500. At 4500 it was building like 2psi of boost. At 5500. It is building over 5 close to 10.
I think that it might depend on the tuning software, Neptune has a anti-lag feature used to build boost by controlling the actual ignition and fuel values, where the 2 step seems primary for controlling rpm at certain tps values like 5000rpm at wot.. I think we are mixing the two terms here.

I think you are playing with the specific ANTILAG Feature here. How much boost does your buddy want to build off the line? set it to what you want/need.
i have ectune on my all motor car and when i race and shift right before rev limiter if it touches rev limter at all it will shoot a flame its loud, and i am using ign cut, also at 2step/launch control it pops a little bit but im not pulling timing or adding fuel or anything
and i would rather run rich with ign cut then run lean with fuel cut all day
