Well heres the story... Theres a local here with a supra and he put down 560hp and mid 400 tq at the end of summer and hes goin to install hes 264 hks cams this winter. We keep yappin at each other about our cars and basically we are goin to race sometime in summer. As for my civic it hasnt been finished cuz its winter here but i hope to have no less than 600hp(shooting for 700).. The whole power to weight thing is definately goin to matter.. Basically im asking if theres anyway im goin to beat him... Whats it going to come down too...traction, tq, top speed??? any pointers?? im gathering info early gotta be one step ahead of the game!!!!

Um... if you really make 600 horsepower (doubtful), then you'll have more power than him and less weight.

IF your car made that much power and his made ~500 whp, you'd take him on the highway, until you ran out of gear at least.

 

Even if you had a little more power and less weight I think he will still take you. If both drivers are equal he will get a better launch, make more power sooner, and its 6 speed so he will pull you top end all day! MKIV's rule!

i bet you he's making his power on pump gas. most any supra that can put down 5-600 can do 7-800 with little mods
