Default 2 1/4 downpipe with ecutout

okay, ssautochrome (i know their products are supposed to be ****, but my bro works at midas and can reweld anything) has a downpipe for like 100 bucks, but its only 2 1/4 inches. if i weld a e-cutout like cheezefrogs set up, do you think that the downpipe will cause it to still be restrictive, even with the e-cutout open?

Yes. It's still only 2.25 inches untill it hits the cutout, unless you mean welding a 3" cutout right off of the turbo and then cutting the downpipe to fit.

it really depends on where you put the e-cutout. if you position it right off of your turbo downpipe and make it so the exhaust gases go in a relatively straight line, youd be great. 2 1/4 isnt bad at all for turbos unless you're running 10+ psi. the trick is to make the e-cutout the easiest way for exhaust to get out.
