1st gen dsm bov?
ok, i know i should ask on the dsm boards but im not sure which board is good..and did a search and didnt find what i want..anyways, i am doing a custom turbo set up and i was wondering how much psi or whp can a 1st gen dsm bov handle..i hear its 18psi but when its crushed, it can go up towards maybe 22psi? and knowing this, will this bov be good enough to handle 300whp (or a high 11-low 12 sec 1/4 mile b16a hb)
anyone with this knowledge, let me know

Re: 1st gen dsm bov? (Tru Dynamix)
A friend of mine has a 96 GS-T who changed to a 1st gen BOV. He said that the 2nd gen didn't hold boost too well. He was boosting 20 pounds with the 1st gen, running a big 16g.

first off..the bov can handle up to 22psi without crushing it before it starts leaking...your car will never see that kinda boost if your trying to make 300whp...
