Re: (Boosted1g)
there were some posts about the small 16g flowing close to the evo 16g's
so noone is running a 16g on a gsr? I wanted to see some graphs to see how much power is dropped after 6000rpm. I am thinking boost shouldnt fall off more than 3psi if I'm running around 10psi aiming at 240whp.

Re: (Boosted1g)
My man, the characteristics of the EVO are Nothing like a honda in terms of head flow. That is why the 16g is not used much at all on a Honda. An 18G w/ at least a flow of over 640cfm is at least a minimum of flow for a VTEC honda.
I've gone through TONS of debates about how a turbo that was designed for something TOTALLY different be used for a Honda. "well if it worked for an EVO, why not a HONDA?" BECAUSE THE MOTORS ARE VERY DIFFERENT IN DESIGN, CONTRUCTION, AND CHARACTERISICS... . Stop the comparion. It's more than just Bore and stroke on a 4 cylinder engine

You have to remember...yes a 16g will work fine on a 2.0L 4g63t, but like someone stated...the b18c1 is much more different.
The b-series engine is a high revving motor and needs to rev high in order to make decent power.
Thus the 16g wouldn't be appropriate, cause its power range doesn't quite keep up that high in the rpm range.
The 20g may be more appropriate, but then again....it costs over $600+ for a 20g, might as well get a T-series turbo such as a 50 or 57 trim turbo.
Get at least a 50 trim turbo....you'll be glad you did.

Re: (Boosted Power)
I dont mind shifting early I did a search and found some guys who put in on thier b18b and love it. I'm going to just try it out because I have it and dont want to spend more money.
550cc injectors
255 walbro fuel pump
b series mani with flange
tdo5 16g
2.5in exhaust no cat
fmic
blitz bov
uberdata tuned to 240whp maybe 10psi
looking to hit high 13's.

Hmm. Ok, not much of a listener, I see... B18B, is DIFFERENT From B18C by ALL means. I even configure 2 different turbos for both of those engines.
The some guys that you read about also had never ridden in a turbo honda before most likely.
Don't expect to get the power you want without spending some money. Getting into the boost conversion game reliably is not a game about saving money, unfortunately.
hehe. I'm even using a 16G on my 90 Talon. They're not even CLOSE to the same characteristics of motor.
