16 ohm RC 310?????
Have another post here titled Need help. Leaning out. Today I decided to check the injectors just to see and viola, the 12 ohm injectors RC tested and sold me are reading 16.8 ohms. Thats after they have been sitting in my house for a couple of hours. Could this be part of my problem with leaning out running 5psi. Any thought on this would be appreciated. Will be calling RC tomarrow.

Re: 16 ohm RC 310????? (b18cx)
could someone out there maybe check the resistance and let me know what they read before I call RC tomarrow. Saturated RC 310cc is what I bought. Reading 16.8-16.2 ohms. Stocks read 11.8-12.0. 2000 Civic SI

how hot were they when you measured? i don't know everything about injectors, but i am an engineer, and if it was really hot, the resistances are usually higher than normal. call RC to check though

Re: 16 ohm RC 310????? (redline)
But that dosent make any sense. If the spec sheets say: Tested 12ohm Saturated, then why are they measuring 16. I work in car audio and from experience if you had a 4 ohm and a 8 ohm speaker (injectors) and ran them off the same amp (ECU) the lower resistance speaker will play louder. ie the lower resistance injector will take less power to fully open. At 16 ohms and the same injector pulse from the ecu, its not opening the same as the 12 ohm injecter. Do I have a valid piont???
When I measured them they had been out of the car for several hours. Stone cold. If temp. does change them I could only imagine what they would be hot.

I don't know if RC measures the actual resistance of the injector or if they just put them in 2 categories. I've had them clean/balance several types of injectors for me. The Peak and Hold injectors are always "P&H 2.5" and the Saturated are always "SAT 12.5".
I don't think the 16 ohms is your problem. That is the standard resistance for RC injectors and many many people have run them in Hondas without problems...including myself.

Re: 16 ohm RC 310?????
I have rc 240 cc 16 ohm injectors leaning out on me, I put back in my 12ohm stock injectors and bam it’s good again. This is 100% a problem. If your doubting me with experience, well 25 years Honda shop experience. This is some weird stuff. In my Hondata I had to offset some values to correct this lean out issue. So for those that want to know why there leaning out with16ohm .. well it’s because it’s 16ohm.
