Default 15lbs and haltech....

Hey guys, I ordered my haltech form B20C5 Turbo. Brent Rau will be tuning the sucker too(not free of course).

This is what my mods are. You guys think I could safely( or on the brink) squeeze out 400whp from 15lbs of boost and pump gas? I will be considering race gas(MAYBE)...

ls/vtec
JE 9:1
eagle rods
race eng block gaurd
t3/t4 turbo(from a CRX revhard kit)
hks wastegate(.6 bar spring)
MBC
stock 1gen DSM BOV(can't afford an aftermarket right now) You guys think II'll be okay with it at 15 lbs?
stock starion FMIC(I know, I know) I ran outta money here too. Still upgrading soon though
stock DSM 450cc injectors($$ issues again)
3" downpipe and piping all the way back to the muffler
Haltech E6K system
clutchnet stage 3 kit
I think that's it.

So what do you guys think?

if you were using the same 95 octane pump gas like we have over here, then i'm sure you could easily make it with the right tuning. Haltech make some nice EMUs, there are a few turbo honda's running around here with Haltechs.. Although you people in the US get only 91 octane, right? You could always add octane booster everytime you fill up your gas

the most I've seen is 93...then maybe try some NOS off-road...

400whp...man, you guys think I should shoot for that high yet?

You seem like a good candidate for an electronic boost control so you can set like 10 psi on the street which would be perfectly safe and crank it up on the track or when you happen across some good fuel. I wouldn't trust my block to octane-in-a-bottle on a daily basis. Or look into buying some octane boosters in commercial quantity - a gallon of toluene or xylene in each tank gets you up around 95 octane or higher.

The stock metal 1G BOV begins to leak around 15psi. just FYI. It should be fine since you'll be using a MAP sensor anyhow.....

Probably need to boost higher to see 400. You may not want to boost too high since that intercooler won't be big enough.

That T3/T4 isnt going to last @400 to the wheels. Those turbos in the crx kits are rated for around 400 flywheel MAX.

are you for real blownhatch? Man, I think I need to call up revhard and ask them what the specs are. Maybe I'll upgrade sooner than I thought...
