Default 14b vs. t25

why is it that people suggest getting the 14b turbo from a 1st gen DSM over the t25 from a 2nd gen DSM??? I've heard that the 14b has more boost potential than the t25, but is there anything else? I only plan on boosting less than 10lbs so I'm not really concerned with boost potential. For the t25, i understand that it has an internal wastegate. Is there something wrong with that? I mean, i plan on using a manual boost controller anyways so I would think that being able to adjust the wastegate wouldn't be such a big deal. For those of you who know about these two turbos, can you give the the pros and cons of using them. thanx for any help.

Both of those turbos use an internal wastegate.

The 14b will flow more CFM at a given boost level compared to a T25. T25 is great for low end/street but the 14b will make more power.

those 14b turbos kick in pretty hard at low/mid power. after 17psi, it stops making power.
