Default is a 14b sufficient on a b18c1?

just like the topic says. a friend of mine has a tip top 14b that he can give me for $100 since he decided hes going h22. i was planning on running an afc hack with 450 cc dsm injectors. i was planning on going with 8 pounds of boost to start off with, maybe with a dsm or saab SMIC. ive been looking at compressor maps all day and doing calculations and it looks as if something a little bigger like a 16g or 18g would be better, but since its so cheap, should i just use it anyways? what do you guys think? has it been done before?
