Default 10psi.....Need injectors or not?

Ok.....everyone says you need bigger injectors when running like 10psi...Is this true? Im running 10psi on my stock injectors, but when i dynoed it, it had plenty of fuel. Do i need bigger or not?

If you still are running your stock injectors, please tell me you are using an FMU? If you do get bigger fuel injectors you will have to get a smaller fmu disc 8:1, maybe, or use the AFC "hack" or get a standalone.

I am not sure if you need them or not, what is your duty cycle right now? that should give you a clue as to if you need newer ones, but i will say you are going to be reaching the max duty cycle of those stock injectors soon, if you have not already.

Best advice, get new injectors, better safe then sorry, especially pushing that amount of boost. if your injectors go out, your screwed.

Im running the 12:1 vortech fmu from drag kit, with a inline fuel pump. Stock fuel regulator. Im not sure about duty cycle, not too familiar with injectors. How do i know what the duty cycle is?

Don't worry about the duty cycle. It will still be at whatever it was from the factory. If I were you I would get a set of 450cc injectors and do the hack. If you run 10psi your fuel pressure is going to be well over 150psi. Thats enough to lock an injector or blow a fuel line. Even if you get 310cc's and an 8:1 you are still going to be at about 120psi so you might as well do the hack.

I would say get bigger injectors. Going the FMU route is fine. I had the afc, 440's, vortech fmu 12:1, and the car ran fine. But 10psi seems like alot of boost on stock injectors, i believe they run at 100% duty cycle at 6psi.

The inline pump is from a Drag Gen 3 kit...Like airtex or something....running stock regulator...like 40psi maybe
If i get 310cc and lower the fmu disk will it idle like ****?

You are running 160psi of fuel pressure at 10psi on your setup..... your stock injectors will die eventually, mabye tomorrow, mabye in a few months but I can garuntee they will crap out and if they do at a critical time say good bye to your motor.....

I suggest standalone, or get 440cc injectors and a AFC and sell your fmu and inline pump.... it runs better and safer because your not trying to SQUEEZE fuel in with insane fuel pressures...
