Default 1000 cc RC injector!!!

has anyone on this board have any problems with RC injector 800cc-1000cc?

a guy at a local performance shop said that many people had problems with 800cc+ injectors made by RC. He also said that RC modifieds the 720cc to the higher cc injector and causes the iunjectors to leak. thanks -a head of time guys

I think that many people who choose to run that size of an injector opt for like a Siemen injector or one of the like because of the price. I know I purhcased my 75lb injectors for like 250 and the 720cc RC injectors were like 750 bucks. 500 dollar savings.

I had a few sets of drippy 1000c injectors. Anythign below that, I never had any major problems. My street car idles like stock on 720cc.

I've had a ton of problems with rc injectors over 550cc. They're way overpriced and very unreliable...

what injectors have you used over 550cc that are reliable Tony? also, i remember reading in an article in import tuner i believe, where they stated that XS engineering offers 720cc injectors that are saturated, which you just drop in w/o the resistor box.

do you have any experience with these injectors?

I've never seen a 720cc saturated injector, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. I use bosch injectors on the race car and msd, precision, or greddy in all the street cars i build. Bosch is one of the only ones who makes a good 1600cc injector, that's why we use them in the race car. I've used tons of the others with no problems out of any of them. The greddy injectors are nippondenso and precision has a few different brands i think, depending on size. Pretty much anything other than rc or venom and you'll be fine.

Aren't RC's modified Bosch injectors ? That's what the guy at RC told me.

RC's 1600's are bosch injectors with an RC sticker and a price increase. They even have the exact same part number on them only RC files off a few of the digits. They're smaller stuff starts as a small injector and they modify it to make it flow 4 times what it was intended to.

I tried a couple sets of 1000cc injectors from RC and they all tend to be leaky. So if I left the car sitting for a period of time, it would take a mirale to start it up. Offcourse 1000cc offers more rooom to go before maxing out the injectors, as compared to 720cc but 720cc injectors are plenty for most people.

I'm going to try a set of 880cc from precision for my personal car, i'll let you know how it goes in about a week or so.
