Someone asked me to post up my trigger setup, so here goes.









not as pimp as art's mount but it works!

 

Hey andy, you have any pics of my set up?

 

i think i see a picture of it somewhere here. didn't bring my camera to nopi, so i wasn't able to get any pics of your car.

 

Tony just had a pic of the mount, but didnt have a pic of the final product with it wired in. I'll take some pics then.

i saw one of these setups a while back......also go to stand there while jdogg and tony were talking....and, um, i'm still confused.

Sorry for the dumb question, but if your eliminating the distributor, why not go coil-on-plug???

individual cyl timing

less moving parts to fail.

what would the advantage be to have individual cyl. timing?

why would this be better then coil on plug?

 

these coil pack i'm running are way stronger than COP. they are the same coil packs and ignition system from Kenny Tran's 8 sec civic. you can run full boost 30+ psi on them and still run the gap .030 you will never have a misfire or ignition issue with this setup. if it can light a methanol mixture without a problem, gas is a piece of cake. they are a sequential spark system (4 ign outputs).

the coils are made by mercury marine and require a strong ignition system like an m&w, autronic 500R or motec cdi-8.

they aren't for individual cylinder timing. that is controlled by the ecu.

 

Where'd the turblow go?

 

The point of a cam trigger like this is that it is less susceptible the RF noise, and ref/sync issues.
